Two-Piece Floating Rotor Design

The GiroDisc rotor uses a two-piece construction that separates the iron friction ring from the aluminum center hat.

This design allows the rotor ring to expand and contract independently as brake temperatures change, while the lightweight aluminum hat reduces unnecessary rotating and unsprung mass compared with a conventional one-piece iron rotor design.

The floating connection between the rotor ring and hat is designed to accommodate the substantial thermal cycling encountered during racing and track use.

Slotted Racing Friction Surface

GiroDisc uses a slotted friction surface designed for high-performance brake applications.

The slots help manage the interface between the brake pad and rotor while maintaining a consistent braking surface during repeated high-temperature use.
