Upgrade the front braking system on your Porsche 997 Turbo with compatible PCCB front brakes / Porsche Cayman GT4 (981/982) with compatible non-PCCB front brakes with GiroDisc A1-066. This application-specific front rotor assembly uses serviceable slotted cast-iron friction rings and lightweight aluminum center hats in a two-piece floating design intended for demanding performance driving.

Fitment note: This part number spans different Porsche brake packages. Fitment is determined by caliper, rotor and pad configuration—not simply by the model name. In particular, 997 Turbo PCCB and Cayman GT4 iron-brake installations must be checked individually.

Two-Piece Floating Construction

GiroDisc combines slotted cast-iron friction rings with aluminum mounting hats and floating drive hardware. This arrangement accommodates heat-related expansion of the friction ring relative to the hat during repeated braking. The system is serviceable: worn friction rings can be replaced separately when compatible replacement rings are available and the hats remain within service limits.

Cooling and Slotted Friction Surface

Internally ventilated friction rings promote airflow through the rotor under rotation. The slotted contact surface is designed to work with suitable performance brake pads during repeated braking events. Proper ducting, pad selection and brake-fluid maintenance remain important for track use.

Brake Pads and Fluid

For PCCB-to-iron conversions, select pads intended for cast-iron rotors; confirm the exact front pad shape for the car. For track use, choose a brake fluid with a suitable boiling-point specification and follow the vehicle and pad manufacturer’s bedding and service guidance.
